Mary Magdalene "Maggie" Berrier Huff

Ms. Mary Magdalene "Maggie" Berrier Huff, 75, of Mount Airy, passed away Sunday, July 6, 2008, at her home, surrounded by her loving family. Ms. Huff was born February 14, 1933, in Surry County, to the late William Franklin and Anna Rosa Blackburn Berrier. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and sister and a wonderful friend to so many. Ms. Huff attended Antioch Baptist Church. Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Tammy and Buddy Jenkins and Jamie and Joey Martin, all of Mount Airy; two grandchildren, Mason Slate and Ellie Martin, both of Mount Airy; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Mildred Shelton, Rachel and Billy Hodges, and Judy and Gray Jarrell, all of Mount Airy; a brother, James "Harrison" Berrier of Greensboro; a sister-in-law, Christine Berrier of Mount Airy; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Ms. Huff was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Ruth Berrier; and two brothers, Wayne Berrier and John Berrier. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, July 9, 2008, at 11:00 AM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy. The service will be conducted by the Rev. Dale Wallace, and burial will follow in the New Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday night from 7:00 to 9:00 at the funeral home.
