Mary Marie Harold Jessup

Mrs. Mary Marie Jessup, age 86, of Mt. Airy, passed away on Wednesday, September 1, 2021, at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston Salem. She was born in Patrick County on June 30, 1935, to the late Carlis and Hassie Puckett Harold. Mrs. Jessup was retired from H&W Trucking Company where she worked as an office administrator and was a faithful member of Fancy Gap Baptist Church for many years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and sister who will surely be missed by all who knew her. Left to cherish her memories are her husband of 64 years, Arthur Jessup; children, Bruce Jessup and wife Lynn, Ron Jessup, and wife Lenise; eight grandchildren. six great-grandchildren; sisters, Frances Utt, Ruth Handy and husband Gene; sisters-in-law, Sylvia, and Laura Harold. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Jessup was preceded in death by brothers, Bobby and L.K. Harold, sister, Shelby King, and brother-in-law, Buford King. A graveside service will be held on Friday, September 3, 2021, at 2:00 PM at Skyline Memory Gardens with services conducted by Dr. Darrell Tate. The family will receive friends on Friday from 12:30 PM until time to leave for the service at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy.
