Mary McBride

Mrs. Mary (Maggie) Magdalene Edwards McBride, 70, of Lowgap, passed away Monday afternoon, March 22, 2021, at her home.  She was born July 27, 1950, in Carroll County, Virginia, to the late Alex and Annie Baker Edwards.  She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will surely be missed by all who knew her.  Mama to many, and loved by all.  Left to cherish her memories are three sons and a daughter-in-law, Randy Lee and Pamela McBride, Sandy William McBride, and Clinton Dale McBride; many grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; sisters, Hattie and Virginia Galyean and Lucy and Steve Lindsey; brothers and sisters-in-law, Bruce and Lettie Edwards, George Edwards, James and Linda Edwards, Sam and Merkie Edwards In addition to her parents, Mrs. McBride was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Phillip Haywood McBride; a daughter, Nancy Ann McBride; two sons, Terry Ray McBride and Scotty Phillip McBride; brothers, John, Isaac, Tommy, David and Daniel Edwards; sister Naomi Lindsay.  A graveside service will be held on Thursday, March 25, 2021 at 3:00 PM at McBride Family Cemetery, located at 500 Hunter Hollow Lane, Lowgap, with Elder Rodney Marshall officiating.  The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 6:00 until 9:00 PM at Chestnut Grove Primitive Baptist Church in Lambsburg, VA.   To send flowers to Mary's family, please visit our floral store.
