Mrs. Mary Riddle Norman, age 72 of 128 Nature Wood Lane, Mt. Airy widow of Mr. Glenn Norman passed away November 22, 2006 at Central Continuing Care. Mrs. Norman was born in Surry County June 9, 1934 to the late William Sherman and Elsie Johnson Riddle, she was retired from Renfro Corporation and was employed several years at the Methodist Children's Home in Winston Salem, she was also a member of Holly Springs Baptist Church. Surviving are two step daughters Millie Knock and friend John of Baltimore, MD. and Louise Lassiter and husband, Don of Mt. Gilead, NC; two step sons Joe Bill Norman and wife Diane of Mt. Airy and Ray Norman of Mt., Airy; 7 step grandchildren; two sisters and a brother-in-law Marie Mabe of Mt. Airy and Glenda and Paul Phillips of Lowgap; three brothers and sisters-in-law James Talmon Riddle and wife Mary of Winston Salem, Lacy Ray Riddle and wife Myrtle of Pilot Mountain and Leon and Ina Riddle of Lowgap; aunts, Thelma Inman and husband Tom and Treva Kirkman and husband Glenn all of Mt. Airy and a special friend Becky Hubbard of Mt. Airy. Funeral services will be held Friday November 24, 2006 at 11:00 AM at the Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mt. Airy with services conducted by Rev. Eddie Phillips with burial to follow in the Skyline Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Thursday night 7 to 9 P.M. at the Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy, NC. The Norman family would like to give a special thanks to Central Continuing Care, Surry Community Nursing Center and Mountain Valley Hospice for all of their loving care.
