Mary Lolean Shelton Snow

Mrs. Mary Lolean Shelton Snow, age 92 of Mount Airy passed away at Surry Community Health and Rehab on Tuesday, February 1, 2022.  Mrs. Snow was born on June 6, 1929, in Surry County to the late James Luther and Annie Beasley Shelton.  Mary was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend.  She and her husband owned and operated Snow’s Garage in Mount Airy of many years.  She was also member of the VFW Women’s Auxiliary in Mount Airy a number of years.  She will be deeply missed by all that knew her.  Left to cherish her memories are her daughters, Carol Ann Snow, Mary Snow Brim; sons and daughter-in-law, Mikel Ray Snow, Robert Van Snow and wife Toni; eight grandchildren, Tracy D. Williams Ramos, Jonathan Brent Williams, Mikel C. Snow, Joshua Snow, Jeremy Snow, John C. Strickland, Brandon Snow, Laura S. Nelson; six great-grandchildren, Zane Williams, Bram Snow, Harper Nelson, Ryan Dollyhigh and wife Claudia, Dania Ramos, McKenzie Ramos; one brother, Rev. Edward Luther Shelton and wife Norma; one sister-in-law, Birdie George; along with several nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Snow was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Ray Snow; a son, Billy Gray Snow; two sisters, Othenia Shelton Vaden, Betty Shelton Smith.  A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 5, 2022, at 3:00 PM at Temple Baptist Church with Rev. Tommy Nichols officiating.  The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 5, 2022, from 2:30 PM until 3:00 PM at Temple Baptist Church. Moody Funeral Service is serving the family.
