Mary Etta Thompson

Mrs. Mary Etta Altman Thompson, 71, widow of W. S. Thompson, Jr. passed away on Tuesday October 17, 2006 while surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Darlington, SC on March 14, 1935 to the late F. Brooks and Mable Altman Thompson. She was retired from Lazy Boy Corporation and was a member of Tabernacle Free Will Baptist Church in Coword, SC. Left to cherish her memory are her son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Karla Thompson of Ararat, NC with whom she made her home; three grandchildren, Brooks Thompson of Winston-Salem, NC, Auburn Thompson, Trinity Thompson both of Ararat, NC; two step-grandchildren, Morgan Brooks of Ararat, NC and Rachael Brooks of Westfield, NC; two great-grandchildren Gauje Thompson and Lauren Suydam of California; sisters and brothers-in-law Letha and Franklin Morris, June and Sonny Stewart, Ann Goins, Georgia and Ronnie Dennis and Susan and Wally Fryer all of South Carolina; brothers and sisters-in-law Franklin and Juanita Thompson, Willie and Deloris Thompson and Talmadge and Carol Thompson all of South Carolina. Funeral arrangements are incomplete. Her body will be taken from Moody-Davis Funeral Home to Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home in Florence, SC for funeral services.
