Mary Edna Reynolds Williams

Mrs. Mary Edna Reynolds Williams, age 95 of Mt. Airy, passed away Sunday, February 03, 2013 at Northern Hospital. Mrs. Williams was born in Surry County on March 13, 1917 to Andrew and Candace Reynolds. She was a loving homemaker who will be dearly missed by her family and many friends. Surviving are three daughters and sons-in-law, Lillian and Jesse Edwards, Lynda and Weldon Taylor and Juanita and Leroy Johnson all of Mt. Airy, one son and daughter-in-law Jerry and Doris Williams of Mt. Airy, twenty grandchildren, thirty-nine great grandchildren, fourteen great great grandchildren, three sisters Nora Eaton and Virginia Martin both of Mt. Airy and Evelyn Moore of Taylorsville and a sister-in-law Maggie Reynolds of Mt. Airy. In addition to her parents Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by her husband Nimie Lester Williams, one daughter Margaret Williams, three sons Stuart Williams, Haywood Williams and Timothy Williams, a granddaughter Judy Williams, two sisters Bessie Reynolds and Elsie Reece and by one brother Curtis Reynolds. Graveside services will be held Wednesday February 6, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Mt. Herman United Methodist Church Cemetery with services conducted by Rev. Ted Turner and Rev. Jason Johnson. There will be no formal visitation held at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Mt. Herman United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund c/o Sheila Martin, 180 Clearview Trail Mt. Airy, NC. 27030. Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy will be assisting the Williams Family.
