Mrs. Mary Faye Wood Wilmoth, age 87, of Dobson, passed away Monday, May 4, 2020 at Hugh Chatham Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Elkin. She was born March 30, 1933 in Surry County to the late Hillary and Lucy Jane Amburn Wood. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Cleve Wilson Wilmoth; her son, David Jackson Wilmoth; daughter-in-law, Peggy Wilmoth and her step grandson, Brandon Inman; two brothers, Columbus and Edgar Wood; and six sisters.Stella Ramey, Gladys Hawks, Geneva Todd, (twin) Carrie  Mae White, Edna Wood, Virginia Crouse.  She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Mary and Bill Smith and Angela and Lanny Whitaker; and her sons, Gary Wilmoth and James Wilmoth; grandchildren Brandon Wilmoth, Cody Wilmoth, Devon Wilmoth ; step grandchildren, Amanda Draughn, David Inman, Brad Inman, Jody Inman; great grandchild, Owen Jackson Wilmoth;  and ten step great grandchildren; and her sister, Oma Lee Goodson. The family will like to give their thanks to special friends,  Johnny and Geraldine Johnson; and special  caregivers, Lori Young, Tara Hazelwood, Sandy Pettrey and Autumn Deppner and the staff of Hugh Chatham Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hugh Chatham Nursing and Rehabilitation Center Activities Fund, 700 Johnson Ridge Road, Elkin NC 28621. Due to the limitations of numbers for public gatherings (Covid-19), private graveside services will be held. Moody-Davis Funeral Service in Dobson is serving the Wilmoth Family.
