Mason Avery Mitchell

Mr. Mason Avery Mitchell, age 18, of Mt. Airy, passed away Monday, August 15, 2016 doing what he loved to do. Mason was born in Forsyth County on August 14, 1998. He loved life, had a heart of gold and always had a big smile. Mason loved riding his motorcycle, playing baseball, and spending time with his friends. Those who will always cherish his memory are his parents, Tina M. Jones, and Craig Avery Mitchell (Tara Allen); sisters, Morgan Shadrick, Jenna Leftwich, Summer Branson, and Teagan Mitchell; a brother, Damien Martin; grandparents, Hurley and Shirley Jones, Pat Mitchell. Mr. Mitchell was preceded in death by his grandfather, Johnny Avery Mitchell; a special friend, Mike Williard. Funeral services will be held Friday, August 19, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Woody Flippen and the Rev. Joey Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 12:00 Noon until time for the service at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy.
