Mr. Mason Swanson Warf age 78 of. Newport News, VA passed away Saturday morning, July 19, 2008 at his home. He was born July 20, 1929 in Austinville, VA to the late William and Scharlotte Martin Warf. Mr. Warf was retired from the Newport News Shipyard. Surviving are his wife, Alma Benge Warf of the home, a daughter, Karen Warf, Virginia Beach, VA, a son, Timothy Warf, Newport News, VA, a sister, Shirley Barbee, Greensboro, NC. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, July 22, 2008 at the Skyline Memory Garden Mausoleum conducted by Rev. Jimmy Slate. The family will receive friends 9:30 AM Tuesday at Moody Funeral Home of Mt. Airy until time for Mr. Warf to be taken to the mausoleum for the service. The family would like to express a "special thanks" to Dr. John Brady and nurse Jeannie for the special care given to Mr. Warf during his illness. .
