Matilda "Mae" O'Neal Creasy

Mrs. Matilda “Mae” O’Neal Creasy, 86, of Mt. Airy passed away Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. She was born in Surry County on May 30, 1929 to the late Monroe and Maggie Hooker O’Neal. Mrs. Creasy and her husband Charles were past owner and operator of Deluxe Cleaners and was a member of Holly Springs Baptist Church. Mae was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and was a friend to all who knew her. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Harold and Patsy Creasy of Mt. Airy; grandchildren and spouses, Jennifer Creasy and fiancé Joe Harris, Lea Anna and Walter Goins, Jr., Brian and Sandra Creasy, Susan and Jason Chilton, all of Mt. Airy; seven great great grandchildren; four great grandchildren; a sister, Mildred Adams of King. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Creasy was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Herbert Creasy; a daughter, Carol Frances Mayes; a son, Ronnie Creasy. Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 6, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Holly Springs Baptist Church with the Rev. Wayburn Mosley and the Rev. Tommy Floyd officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday night from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy.
