Matthew Vincent Goins

Mr. Matthew Vincent Goins, age 60, of Mount Airy passed away on Sunday, September 18, 2022, at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home. He was born in Surry County, June 25, 1962, the son of the late A.L. and Jewel Hawks Goins. Mr. Goins was a graduate of North Surry High School, class of 1980. He was owner of Krystal Clear Recording Studios. Since childhood he was involved with gospel music and a founding member of the New Jerusalem Quartet in 1992. He was active staff member of the Mount Airy High School Football Team and a charter member of Victory Baptist Church. Surviving are his sisters and brothers-in-law, Cyndy and Jimmy Vipperman, and Sarah and Rockey Tickles, Jr.; nieces, Samantha Tickles, and Katrina Tickles, and a nephew, Rockey Tickles, III. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 21, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Victory Baptist Church with Rev. Joey Jessup officiating. Burial will follow in State Line Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The Goins family will have a public visitation at Moody Funeral Home of Mount Airy on Tuesday night, September 20, 2022 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home, 945 Zephyr Road, Dobson, NC 27017. Moody Funeral Service is entrusted with Mr. Goins arrangements.
