Maude Marie Ring O'Neal

Mrs. Maude Marie Ring O’Neal, 98, of Mount Airy, passed away Saturday morning, June 11, 2022, at Dunmore Plantation in Dobson.  Mrs. O’Neal was born July 8, 1923, in Surry County, to the late John and Harriett Radford Ring.  Maude was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who will surely be missed by all who knew her.  Left to cherish her memories are a daughter and son-in-law, Kay and Donald Hutchins; a daughter-in-law, Pam O’Neal; her grandchildren, Derrick Hutchins and his girlfriend, Tessa Keith, Beau and Kasey Hutchins, Kristi and Steven Edwards, and Bro. Barry and Jamie O’Neal; nine great-grandchildren; a sister, Ruth McMillian; and many nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. O’Neal was preceded in death by her husband, Stoneman Lee O’Neal; a daughter, Edith O’Neal; a son, Kenneth Lee O’Neal; five sisters, Rachel McMillian, Clara Mears, Ila Gunnell, Dorothy Tate, and Dicie O’Neal; and three brothers, Ernest Ring, Emery Ring, and Delbert Ring.  A graveside service will be held Tuesday, June 14, 2022, at 11:00 AM at Sulphur Springs Baptist Church Cemetery, with Bro. Barry O’Neal officiating.  The family will receive friends Tuesday from 9:30 until 10:30 AM at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy.
