Maude Lenora Scott

Mrs. Maude Lenora Kemp Scott, age 85, of Mt. Airy, passed away Saturday, November 03, 2018, at Twelve Oaks Assisted Living.  Mrs. Scott was born in Carroll County on November 27, 1932, to Aide Kemp and Betty Bowen Kemp Midkiff.  She was a loving mother and grandmother who will be dearly missed.  Among the many who will always cherish her memory is her daughter and son-in-law, Yvonne and Michael Wood; and her grandchildren, Elizabeth Wood and Matthew Wood.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Scott was preceded in death by her husband, Don Julian Scott; a sister, Winifred Dearth; and brothers, Clarence, Charles, Warren, Willis, Raymond, and Harry Kemp.  Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, November 7, 2018, at Antioch Baptist Church by Rev. Grant Atkins.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
