Our precious mother and grandmother, Maudine Tolbert Inman, passed away Sunday, June 12, 2011, at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. She was born April 26, 1922, in Surry County, daughter of the late Rufus and Jettie Maude Felts Tolbert. Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Curtis Bruner of White Plains; one she raised as a daughter, Brittany Bruner Haynes and her husband, Aaron Haynes; a son-in-law, John Bode of Mount Airy; grandchildren, Christy Todd and her fiancé, Eddie Slate, Tammy Wall, Kim Bruner and her fiancé, Travis Burkhart, and Shasta Brown and her husband, Mark Brown; great-grandchildren, Levi and Leah Todd, her precious angel face, Colby Haynes, Tyler Burkhart, Zack Wall, and Sam and Kate Brown; a great-great-grandchild, Jaron Haynes; three sisters, Eloise McHone, Doris Jessup, and Linda Gwynn; and special friends of the family and Mema, Misty, Anna, and Abby Marion, Adam and Jeanie Shelton, and Kannon. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Inman was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Elbert Lee Inman; a daughter, Bonnie Inman Bode; a brother, Herman Tolbert; and four infant brothers and a sister. The funeral service will be held Tuesday, June 14, 2011, at 11:00 AM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy, with the Rev. Bill Spurlin officiating. Burial will follow at Midkiff Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday night from 6:00 to 8:00 at the funeral home, and other times at the home of Nancy and Curtis Bruner, 402 Abner Lane, Mount Airy. "I would like to extend special thanks to the staff of Twelve Oaks Retirement Center and the staff of the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home for their love and support to my mother and our family." Flowers will be accepted, or memorials may be made to the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home, 945 Zephyr Road, Dobson, NC 27017.
