Mavis Juanita D'Amico

Mrs. Mavis Juanita Allen D’Amico, 83, of Mt. Airy passed away Monday, January 24, 2022, at her home. She was born in Carroll County, VA, on April 13, 1938, to the late Dexter and Annie Mae Harrell Allen. Mrs. D’Amico was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who will be dearly missed by all her family and many friends. She is survived by her loving Husband of 54 years, Phillip George D’Amico; a grandson, Tanner D’Amico; a sister, Libby Culler; brothers-in-law, Bruce and wife, Brenda D’Amico, Billy Murray, Sr. and Jesse Jones; many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. D’Amico was preceded in death by a son and daughter-in-law, Phillip George D’Amico, Jr. and Mary Ann D’Amico; sisters, Lizzie Murray, Alice Cheek, Ossie Jones; brothers, Hoston Allen, and Clinton Allen. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, January 26, 2022, at 11:00 AM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Teddy Hiatt officiating. Burial will follow in Oakdale Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 10:00 until 11:00 AM at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy.
