Mazie Ruvene Boyles Hiatt

Mrs. Mazie Ruvene Boyles Hiatt age 88 of 125 Cleve Street, Mount Airy, widow of Claude Ralph Hiatt went to be with her Lord on Tuesday April 10, 2007 at Northern Hospital of Surry County. Mrs. Hiatt was born in Patrick County on July 20, 1918 daughter of the late George Luther Boyles and Mary Nannie Moss Boyles. She was a housewife and was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Wayne and Janie Hiatt of Mount Airy and Larry and Kathy Hiatt of Lowgap; four grandchildren, Sherry Hiatt Sumner, Christie Hiatt, Tim Hiatt and Terry Hiatt; two step grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two step great-grandchildren and a sister Eunice Ima Boyles of Mount Airy. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 12, 2007 at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel. The service will be conducted by Rev. Alton Bledsoe and Rev. Mark Sumner with burial to follow in Pedigo Family Cemetery. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the nursing staff in the Intensive Care Unit at Northern Hospital of Surry County, especially to Christie Hiatt, Dr. David Majure and Dr. Nelson Gardner and a special thanks to the staff at Central Continuing Care. The family will receive friends at Moody Funeral Home on Wednesday night from 7:00 to 9:00 PM.
