Mr. Media Arnold Inman, 90, of 3657 Westfield Road, Mount Airy, passed away Tuesday, April 1, 2008, at his home. Mr. Inman was born August 7, 1917, in Surry County, to the late Millard and Kizzie Haymore Inman. He was a farmer and retired from Renfro Corporation. He was a member of Indian Grove Baptist Church, where he had served as a Sunday school teacher, a Sunday school superintendent, and as a deacon for more than 50 years. Mr. Inman is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Arnold Ray and Glenda I. Inman of Winston-Salem and Michael and Lori Inman of Mount Airy; nine grandchildren and spouses, Deneen Skyles and Eddie of Tobaccoville, Dawn Schultz of Winston-Salem, A. Ray Inman, Jr. and Constance of Atlanta, GA, Melissa Dentiste and Brent of Clemmons, Kenneth Inman of Winston-Salem, Kelly Inman of Mount Airy, Melynda Inman of Advance, Bryan Ambrose of Raleigh, and Kyle Ambrose of Cullowhee; eleven great-grandchildren; three sisters and a brother-in-law, Alene Bingman of Pilot Mountain, and Nonnie and Walter Arrington and Kathleen Davis, all of Mount Airy; five brothers and four sisters-in-law, Bill and Myrtle Inman, Herman Inman, Clifford and Rachel Inman, Roger and Susie Inman, and Codell Inman, all of Mount Airy; a sister-in-law and husband, Leota and Junior Jessup of Mount Airy; and a brother-in-law and wife, Frank and Janie Johnson of Pinnacle. In addition to his parents, Mr. Inman was preceded in death by his wife, Delia Johnson Inman; and a brother, Vester Inman. The funeral service will be held Thursday, April 3, 2008, at 2:00 PM at Indian Grove Baptist Church. The service will be conducted by the Rev. Tommy Floyd and the Rev. Keith Love, and burial will follow in the Indian Grove Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at Indian Grove Baptist Church, where his body will remain until the hour of the funeral service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Indian Grove Family Cemetery Fund, c/o Norma Bowen, 200 Cooke School Road, Pilot Mountain, NC 27041.
