Melissa Robin Hawks Beasley

Ms. Melissa Robin Hawks Beasley, 31, of 252 Toast Road, Mount Airy, passed away Thursday, December 24, 2009. Ms. Beasley was born September 9, 1978, in Surry County, the daughter of Ronald Dean and Mozelle Goins Hawks. She was a member of Holy Cross Baptist Church. She is survived by a daughter, Marley Beasley of Mount Airy; a son, Dylon Beasley of Mount Airy; her parents, Ronald Dean and Mozelle Goins Hawks of the home; a sister and brother-in-law, Rhonda and Tracey Harris of Mount Airy; a brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Emily Hawks of Mount Airy; six nieces and nephews, Mason Hawks, Dusty Harris, Maddison Hawks, Morgan Hawks, Maggie Hawks, and Kayla Harris; and her paternal grandmother, Faith Hawks of Mount Airy. Ms. Beasley was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Euel and Princess Goins; and her paternal grandfather, John Hawks. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, December 30, 2009, at 11:00 AM at Holy Cross Baptist Church, with the Rev. Butch Holder and the Rev. Randy Holder officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7:00 until 9:00 PM at Holy Cross Baptist Church, where her body will remain until the hour of the funeral service.
