Melissa Marion Spigner

 Melissa Marion Spigner, age 48, of Winston Salem, passed away on Friday, August 10, 2018 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston Salem.  She was born in Surry County on March 27, 1970 to Dean and Teresa Griffin Marion.  She served our country in the United States Navy and was retired from Kernersville Veterans Heath Care Center.  She is survived by her daughters Haley and Imani Spigner of Kernersville; her parents Teresa and Dean Marion of Mt airy; a sister Dena Marion of Mt Airy; her fiancé, Sean Hines of Winston Salem, Haley and Imani’s father Malcolm Spigner.  Miss Spigner was preceded in death by her grandparents, Grover and Lois Griffin and Arnold and Helen Marion both of Mt Airy.  A private service will be held at a later date.  Donations may be made to the North Carolina Chapter of Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, 4530 Park Road, Suite 240, Charlotte, NC 28209.
