Melvin Glenn King

          Mr. Melvin Glenn King, age 52 of Ararat, passed away Saturday, May 9, 2020 at his home.  He was born in Surry County, NC on June 28, 1967.  He was preceded in death by his father, Clyde Perkins King; grandparents, Clyde and Virginia King, James and Ollie Wilhelm; and a special cousin, George A. Trivett.  Melvin attended Patrick County High School and Cleveland Community College.  He loved nature and took daily walks.  He liked to hunt and was big in sports in his time.  He will be missed.

          Surviving are his mother, Ruth King of the home; a brother and sister-in-law, Doug and Marlaina King of Mt. Airy, NC; and a special aunt, Penny King of Virginia.
