Michael Kessey Dehart

Michael Kessey Dehart, 19, of Mount Airy, passed away Saturday, April 18, 2009. Michael was a former student at Surry Central High School. Surviving are his mother and step-father, Katina Lynn Mabe Tilley and David of Mount Airy; his father and step-mother, Elber Kessey Dehart and Sherrie of Mount Airy; sisters, Kayla Dehart, Stephanie Dehart, Michelle Utt, and Madison Gillespie, all of Mount Airy; a brother, Matthew Gillespie of Mount Airy; a step-sister, Keisha Johnston of Mount Airy; grandparents, William Mabe of Zebulon and Pat Simmons of Danbury; and a step-grandmother, Vera Parson of Mount Airy. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, April 21, 2009, at Salem Baptist Church on Rockford Road in Dobson, conducted by the Rev. Bobby Lewis. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday night from 6:00 to 8:00 at the church.
