Michael Dale Hall

Mr. Michael Dale Hall, 62, of Mount Airy passed away unexpectedly at his home on Friday, December 25, 2020.  Mr. Hall was born in Surry County on March 17, 1958 to the late James Garfield and Frances Puckett Hall.  He was recently retired as a supervisor from TE Connectivity in Greensboro after 19 years of service and was previously employed by Proctor Silex in Mount Airy until it ceased operations in 2000.  He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend.  He especially adored his granddaughters Hailey and Hannah.  He was an avid golfer, bowler, Rook player, cyclist, had a wicked 3 point shot and sense of humor.  Also, he was quite the handy man and rock and roll trivia expert.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife and soulmate of 42 years Amy Key Hall, two sons Ryan (Jennifer) and Jacob Hall, granddaughters Hailey Heinz and Hannah Hall, sister Kathy Simmons (Tony Creed), brother Don Hall (Wilma) and special cousin Ellen Law (Larry) as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Hall was preceded in death by a sister and brother-in-law Frankie and Ray Linville and a niece Elissa Simmons.

A celebration of life will be held Wednesday, December 30 at 2:00 PM in the Moody Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Joe Lambert officiating.  The family will visit with friends one hour prior to the service.  In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorials be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
