Michael Jerrell Thomas

Michael Jerrell Thomas, 70, of Dobson, NC. passed away peacefully on February 12, 2025 at Mountain Valley hospice home.

Born on April 11,1954 in Chatham County to Ruby Louise Thomas and Gadis William Thomas.

Michael was a beloved husband, father, and Marine. He loved to help anyone in need, no matter where or what the situation. He often volunteered with Habitat for Humanity. In 1974, Michael joined the Marine Corp. His greatest accomplishment alongside raising his 4 amazing children who became accomplished thanks to his love and guidance. 

Michael is survived by his wife, Bonnie B. Thomas and his children, Michael J. Thomas Jr., Virginia M. Hungarter, Micheala Freeman, Amanda J. Eagan, and Magen L. Thomas. As well as 14 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He also helped raise 2 other children, Roy Napier and Shawn C Hardison.

Michael was a loyal, loving, and dedicated husband and so much more. He will always live on in our hearts.  A  service with full military rites will be held on Thursday, February 20, 2025, at 12:30 PM, in The Salisbury National Cemetery. Moody-Davis Funeral Service in Dobson is serving the Thomas family.
