Michael Stephen Williams, Jr.

Michael S. Williams, Jr., age 62, went to be with our Lord and Savior on August 22, 2024. He passed away peacefully at his home with loved ones. He was born April 29, 1962, at Camp Lejeune, NC. He attended Chestnut Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Ararat, VA. He entered the U.S. Airforce to become a member of the security team finishing basic training. He was a skilled welder before becoming a Senior Data Entry specialist for 20 years. 

Preceded in death were his parents Michael Stephen Williams and Carolyn McCraw Williams. A stepmother, Bessie Hiatt Williams and stepfather, Bobby Williams, three uncles, Harold Wade McCraw, Timothy Williams, and James (Duck) Llewellyn. Two sisters, Pamela Sue Williams Kemp and Sandra Hiatt Draughn, and three nephews, Thomas P. Inman, Josh Draughn and Brandon Draughn. 

Casey was a devoted father, husband, brother, uncle and friend. He was very loving and compassionate towards others and loved by all. He loved all animals. His friends described Michael as a good man who was funny and good hearted. 

He is survived by his wife, Nellie “Bobbie” Totten Williams; his children, Lisa Marie Williams Jones and husband Tim; Michael Stephen Williams III (Mike Dickens) and wife Jenn; Charity Hope Williams and partner Yani; grandchildren, William, Sara and husband Justin, Bria, Braiden, Lindsey, Hannah, Michael, Kristopher, Jeremy Bear, Maggie, and George; and one great grandchild, Weston. Two sisters, Sikinda Williams Thompkins and Penny Williams Rinehart and husband “Super” Jeff; and one brother, Woodrow “Gus” Williams. Two aunts, Sybil Llewellyn and Norma Jean “Tootsie” Smith; and an uncle, Clyde David Smith. Several nephews and nieces and several cousins.

Reverend Arlis Thomas will be officiating Casey’s Celebration of Life ceremony on Wednesday August 28, 2024, at 2:00pm graveside at Genesis Full Gospel Church Cemetery.
