Michael Preston Wrest

Mr. Michael Preston Wrest, 57 of Cana, Virginia passed away on Friday, October 1, 2021, at Duke University Hospital in Durham, North Carolina. Mr. Wrest was born on July 6, 1964, at the Eglin Air Force Base in Florida, to Barbara White Wrest and the late Bud C. Wrest. Mr. Wrest was a loving son, brother, uncle, great-uncle, and friend. He will be deeply missed by all that knew him. Left to cherish his memory are his mother, Barbara White Wrest of Cana, Virginia; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Michelle Wrest Haynes and Freddy of Cana, Virginia, Kathy Wrest Abrams and Aubrey, of Wetumpka, Alabama; one brother, Myles Wrest, of Cana, Virginia; one niece and two nephews; along with several great-nieces. No formal services will be held at this time. Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the family.
