Michalene Kay Leftwich

Miss Michalene Kay Leftwich Age 50 of 1139 Bear Trail Rd. Cana, VA. passed away Wednesday January 17, 2007 at the Surry Community Nursing Center in Mt. Airy, NC. Miss Leftwich was born June 11, 1956 in Carroll County, Va. to the late Arnold Leftwich, Sr. and Elma Painter Leftwich and was a member of St. Paul Church of the Brethren. Surviving are seven sisters and brother-in-law Evon Draughn and Eleanor Leftwich both of Cana, VA., Juanita Montgomery of Holly Springs, Nelba and Raymond Dowell, Loreita Bennett, Mashel Leftwich and Joy Cannoy all of Mt. Airy, five brothers and sisters-in-law Berman and Shirley Leftwich and Clellan and Darlene Leftwich all of Cana, Jeffery Leftwich, Maynard Leftwich and A.W. Leftwich, Jr. and wife Betty all of Mt. Airy and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents Miss Leftwich was preceded in death by a sister Bernice Leftwich and by a brother J.C. Leftwich. Funeral services will be held Saturday January 20, 2007 at 2:00 P.M. at the Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mt. Airy with burial to follow in the Leftwich family cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday night 7 to 9 P.M. at the Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy, NC. The family would like to thank Surry Community Nursing Center, Mountain Valley Hospice and the nursing staff and doctors on the second floor at Northern Hospital of Surry County for all of the love and support.
