Michele Lynn Willey

        Ms. Michele Lynn Willey, age 37 of Martinsville, Virginia passed away on Wednesday, September 23, 2020, at Annie Penn Hospital in Reidsville, North Carolina.  She was born in Galax, Virginia on July 2, 1983.  She was preceded in death by her mother, Tammy Weatherman; maternal grandparents, J.R. and Mary Weatherman; and paternal grandparents, Roger and Elsie Willey.  Michele had served as a manager at Gunter Nissan in Martinsville and enjoyed making crafts, knitting, and gardening.  She will be remembered as a loving daughter, caring sister, devoted fiancé, and thoughtful friend.

        Ms. Willey is survived by her father and step-mother, Ronnie Willey and Michelle Williams Willey of Stuart, Virginia; fiancé, Nicholas Ward of Reidsville, North Carolina; two sisters, Taylor Willey of Eden, North Carolina and Victoria Lewis of Martinsville, Virginia; one-step brother, Brian Branch of Sanville, Virginia; one nephew; one aunt, Tammy Willey of Eden, North Carolina; three uncles, Jeff Willey of Stoneville, North Carolina, Tony Weatherman of Henry, Virginia, and Jackie Weatherman of Galax, Virginia and several cousins and dear friends.

        A graveside service for Ms. Willey will be held on Tuesday, September 29, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. in the Willey Family Cemetery (located at 8030 Salem Highway, Stuart, Virginia) with Page Cobbler officiating.  Following the service the family will be receiving friends at the home of her father, located at 8030 Salem Highway and at other times at the home of her aunt, located at 717 Hanover Place, Ridgeway, VA 24148.
