Michelle Lynn Riggs Parker

Mrs. Michelle Lynn Riggs Parker, 33, of Mount Airy, passed away Saturday, June 28, 2008, at Northern Hospital of Surry County. Mrs. Parker was born April 7, 1975, in Forsyth County, to Patty Isaacs and Timothy Riggs. II Timothy 4:7 reads "I have fought the good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith." Surviving are her son, Dillon Parker of Dobson; her devoted and loving mother, Patty Isaacs of the home; her father and stepmother, Timothy and Margaret Riggs of Winston-Salem; her husband, Mitchell Parker of Dobson; maternal grandparents, Ray and Bertie Isaacs of Mount Airy; her paternal grandparents, Kathryn Mathis of King and Frank and Jessie Riggs of Mount Airy; her husband's parents, Pat and Tim Parker of Dobson; aunts and uncles, Lucy Hice of Mount Airy, John Hice of Lowgap, Michelle and David Oxendine of Dobson, and Timmy and Jennifer Isaacs; special cousins, Keisha Hice and Austin Isaacs; and a wonderful caregiver, Sheila Husky, whom "we couldn't have done without." Mrs. Parker was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Irene Isaacs White; and an uncle, Jimmy Ray Isaacs. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, June 30, 2008, at Moody Funeral Home Chapel. The service will be conducted by the Rev. Terry Coe and Gary Sawyers. Burial will follow in New Beginnings Church Cemetery in Ararat, VA. The family will receive friends Sunday from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the funeral home.
