Mickey Marlowe Snider

Mr. Mickey Marlowe Snider, age 66 of Mount Airy passed away on Wednesday, June 5, 2024, at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson.  Mr. Snider was born on May 27, 1958, in Surry County to the late Kenneth Edward Snider, Sr. and Josephine Leftwich Snider.  Mickey was a loving father, grandfather, brother, and friend.  He will be deeply missed by all that knew him.   Surviving is his daughter and son-in-law, Brittany Nicole Snider and Will Horton; son, Nicholas Shane Snider; grandchildren, Natalie Ann Horton, Sarah Natasha Horton and four other grandchildren; one sister and brother-in-law, Kim Snider Rose and Steve; three brothers and sister-in-law, Michael Lynn Snider, Timothy Lee Snider and Donna, Kenneth Edward Snider, Jr. and Pam; special friend, Tammy Puckett; along with several nieces and nephews.  Mr. Snider was preceded in death by his parents, his maternal grandparents, Oscar and Carrie Leftwich; and his paternal grandparents, Samuel Snider and Odessa Atkins Tyson.  A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, June 11, 2024, at 11:00 AM at the People’s Church Cemetery in Mount Airy with Reverend Randy Edwards officiating.  The family will receive friends following the service, at the home of Timothy Snider, 405 Pippen Street, Mount Airy, North Carolina 27030.  Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy has been entrusted with the arrangements.
