Milburn Marshall

Mr. Milburn Marshall, age 79 of Ararat, VA, husband of Patsy Inscore Marshall, passed away Wednesday, January 3, 2007 at Forsyth Medical Center. Mr. Marshall was born in Surry County, September 21, 1927 to Ulus and Elsie Dawson Marshall. He served our country in the US Air Force and was retired from Reynolds Tobacco Co. Surviving are his wife, Patsy Marshall of the home; sons and daughters-in-law, Charlie and Susan Marshall of Kernersville; George Marshall and Sarah Warlock of Atlanta, GA; and Dale and Denise Marshall of Kernersville; six grandchildren; five sisters and five brothers. In addition to his parents, Mr. Marshall was preceded in death by a sister and two brothers. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, January 6, 2007 at Willis Gap Baptist Church Cemetery, conducted by Rev. Jack Elliot and Rev. Phillip Goins. Military rites will be conducted by Patrick County VFW Memorial Honor Guard. The family will receive friends at Moody Funeral Home, Saturday from 12:00 until the time to depart for the cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Patrick County VFW Memorial Honor Guard at P.O. Box 144, Stuart, VA 24171 or to the Gideons Memorial Bible Program at P.O. Box 1032, Mt. Airy, NC 27030.
