Mildred Frances O'Neal Adams

Mrs. Mildred Frances O’Neal Adams, age 88, of King, passed away on Thursday Morning, April 17, 2025 at Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem. She was born on April 15, 1937 in Surry County to the late Charlie Monroe O’Neal and Maggie Lee Hooker O’Neal. Mrs. Adams was a retired CNA from Forsyth Hospital after 32 years of service. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who will surely be missed by all who knew her. Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Rhonda Utt, Donna Gammons; stepdaughter, Debbie Hauser (Rick); sons, Dwight Gammons (Debbie); stepson, Kendall Adams; grandchildren, Brandon Bunker, Justin Gammons (Jordan), Ashley Hauser, Logan Gammons; three great-grandchildren; special friend, Bill Cox. In addition to her parents Mrs. Adams was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Roy Adams; daughter, Nelda Delaine Gammons; sister, Mae Creasey; brother, Elbert O’Neal. A funeral service will be held on Monday, April 21, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mt. Airy with service conducted by Rev. Jarred Seal. Burial will follow in Simmons Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday from 10:00 AM until the time for the service at the funeral home.
