Mildred Ann Jessup

Mrs. Mildred Ann Patterson Jessup, 94, of Pilot Mountain passed away Thursday, May 3, 2018 at the Commonwealth Senior Living at Hillsville.  She was born in Surry County on October 29, 1923 to the late Escar Floyd and Julila Whitaker Patterson.  Mrs. Jessup was retired from Belk Department Store and was of the Baptist Faith.  She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who will be dearly missed by all her family and friends.  She is survived by her loving husband of 74 years, Roscoe Lee Jessup; her children, Janet and Clark Murphy of Cary, Lynn and Dennis Arrington of Mt. Airy, Philip and Tammy Jessup of King; grandchildren, Amanda Murphy of Cary, Suzanne and Kevin Gooding of Wilmington, Amy and Barry Pardue of Pilot Mountain, Joshua and Stacey Arrington of Mt. Airy, Daniel Arrington of Pilot Mountain, Hampton Jessup of King; eleven great grandchildren; a sister, Alene Gates of Mt. Airy; sister-in-law, Nancy Patterson of Winston Salem; many nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Jessup was preceded in death by sisters, Irene Carter, and Ruth Booth; brothers, Odell, Bob, and John Patterson.  Funeral services will be held Sunday, May 6, 2018 at 3:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jerry Perdue and the Rev. Dennis Arrington officiating.  Burial will follow in Pilot Mountain City Cemetery.  The family will receive friends Sunday from 2:00 PM until time for the service at Moody Funeral Home in Mt.
