Mildred Marie Upchurch Latham

Mrs. Mildred Marie Upchurch Latham, 69, of Lambsburg, VA, passed away Saturday, June 11, 2011, at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem. Mrs. Latham was born June 23, 1941, in Grayson County, to Dennis Barnard and Maggie Jane Senter Upchruch. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who will be dearly missed by all her family and many friends. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Latham is survived by her husband, Orville Norman Latham of the home; three daughters and a son-in-law, Wanda Witt of Mount Airy, Karen Latham of New Castle, DE, and Sandy and Kevin Worley of Dobson; four grandchildren, Jason Brueckner, Joseph Brueckner, Jr., Ashley Worley, and Mandee Pennington; two great-grandsons, Malachi Brueckner and Joseph Brueckner, III; a sister and brother-in-law, Brenda and Gene Presley of Lincolnton; and three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Hurley and Tammy Upchurch and Dennis Upchurch, all of Mount Airy, and Kenneth and Shirley Upchurch of Denver, NC. Mrs. Latham was preceded in death by three brothers, Wayne Upchurch, Bernard Upchurch, and James Upchurch. A memorial service will be held at 5:00 PM Thursday, June 16, 2011, at New Beginning Church, located on Pipers Gap Road, by Kenneth Upchurch. The family will receive friends in the fellowship hall following the service.
