Milissa Lydia Gambill

Milissa Lydia Burton Gambill, 69, of Elkin, NC passed away Sunday, January 3, 2021, at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston Salem, NC. She was born in Surry County on July 14, 1951 to MaryAnn Freeman Burton and to the late Leroy Burton. She was a retired computer analyst for Lowe’s Corporation, and a member of Union Cross Baptist Church. Surviving is her husband of 42 years, Michael Gambill; mother, MaryAnn Freeman Burton; brother and sister-in-law, Lynn and Judy Burton; nephews, Donnie Burton and his fiancée, Sandy Tarleton, Dustin Burton and his wife, Amanda; great-nieces, Starline Howard and her husband Andrew , Kaitlyn Brown; great-nephew, Christopher Carter; great-nieces Nevaeh Al-Shami and Lexi Al-Shami. A graveside service will be held 2:00 PM, Wednesday, January 6, 2021 in the cemetery of Union Cross Baptist Church with Rev. Allen Horton, and Rev. Tim Burton officiating the service. Her body will lie in state for one hour at Union Cross Baptist Church before the graveside service. Flowers will be accepted, or memorials may be made to Union Cross Baptist Church C/O Virginia Stroud 1993 Twin Oaks Rd. Elkin, NC 28621. There will be no services held at Moody-Davis Funeral in Dobson, NC.
