Millie Elizabeth Moncus

Mrs. Millie Elizabeth Johnson Moncus, age 95, of Dobson, passed away Tuesday, January 25, 2022. She was born November 11, 1926, in Surry County, to the late Alex Johnson and the late Flora Belle Billings Johnson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis McKinley Moncus; son, Dennis Moncus; and her son-in-law, Donald Sizemore. Left to cherish her memories are her daughters and son-in law, Brenda and Cecil Stanley and Graydell Sizemore; sons and daughter-in-law, Odell and Nadine Moncus, Larry Moncus and Ricky and Cindy Moncus; grandchildren, Trish, Karen, Scotty, Lisa, Steven, Bryan, Stephanie, Michael, Jack, and Chris; great-grandchildren, Dustin, Eric, Matthew, Cody, Taylor, Haley, Blaze, Colton, Addison, Mason, Tilden, Hunter, Carter and Trace; great-great-grandchildren, Aria, Aiden, Phillip, Gabriel, Alice, Annsleigh, Noah, River, Edi, Kyler, Ella, Adelynn, Kyleigh, Eli and Eden. Mrs. Moncus was a homemaker who loved her family and a member of Roaring Gap Baptist Church. A celebration of her life will be on Sunday, February 6, 2022, at 2:00 pm in the Moody-Davis Chapel with Colton Acord and Rev. Jonathan Casstevens officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Diabetes Foundation. Moody-Davis Funeral Service in Dobson is serving the Moncus family.
