Mrs. Minnie Mae Hodges Draughn, 72, of 1094 Smith Road, Mount Airy, went home to be with her heavenly Father on Friday, May 18, 2007, at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem. Mrs. Draughn was born March 31, 1935, in Surry County, the second of seven children born to the late Coley Walter and Dixie Ella Whitt Hodges. She graduated from White Plains High School in 1953. During her early years of marriage, she and her husband, Wesley Junior Draughn, farmed, owned and operated Thrift Host Motel in Hilliard, FL, and Midway Grocery. Then, in 1980, they founded Junior's Trucking, Inc., a west coast receive friends Sunday from 7:00 until 9:00 PM at Piney Grove Baptist Church. Flowers will be accepted, or memorials may be made to Piney Grove Baptist Church No service information has been added.
