Minnie Reeves Loflen

Mrs. Minnie Reeves Loflen, age 94, of Mount Airy, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, March 27, 2025. She was born in Surry County, January 4, 1931, the daughter of Otto and Nettie Shelton Reeves. Mrs. Loflen retired from Quality Mills, Inc./Cross Creek Apparel after 60 years of service. She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Mount Airy, where she served as a Deacon, Sunday school teacher, and member of the WMU. Surviving is her daughter and son-in-law, Yolanda and Michael Howard; grandchildren, Andrew Howard (Amy), Chris Howard (Alisha), and Anna Howard (Brian); great grandchildren, Madison Howard, Caroline Howard, Luke Howard, Isabella Howard and Elizabeth Howard. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Ralph Loflen, and nine sisters and one brother. A service worship and celebration will be held Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at 11:00 AM at First Baptist Church with Rev. Jay Meadows officiating. Interment will follow in Skyline Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 10:00 until 11:00 AM in the Fireside Room at First Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church WMU Fund, 714 North Main Street, Mount Airy, NC 27030. Moody Funeral Service in Mount Airy is serving the Loflen family.
