Minnie Lou Martin McIntyre

Mrs. Minnie Lou Critz Martin McIntyre, 89, of Mt. Airy passed away Thursday, September 21, 2023, at Central Continuing Care in Mt. Airy.  Mrs. McIntyre was born in Surry County on March 2, 1934, to the late Zeb and Mary Celia McGee Critz.  She retired from Perry Manufacturing and a member of Franklin Heights United Methodist Church.  Mrs. McIntyre was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who will be dearly missed by her family and many friends.  She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Christie Marsh and Ronnie; sons and daughters-in-law, John Martin and Teresa, Samuel Martin and Gale; grandchildren, Amanda Willard and Loyd, Christian Marsh; three step grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; sisters and brother-in-law, Rachel Graves and Rev. Ronnie Graves, Naomi Brown, Jane Dayton; a brother and sister-in-law, Samuel Critz, Sr. and Betty; many nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. McIntyre was preceded in death by her husband, J.V. McIntyre; her first husband, Alvis Lee Martin.  A funeral service will be held Monday, September 25, 2023, at 11:00 AM at Franklin Heights United Methodist Church with the Rev. Tim Sink and the Rev. Dwight Cartner officiating.  Burial will follow in the Critz Cemetery.  The family will receive friends Monday from 10:00 until 11:00 AM at the church.  Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Franklin Heights United Methodist Church, 428 S Franklin Rd., Mt.
