Miranda Lee Goins Dodson

Mrs. Miranda Lee Goins Dodson, 78, of Mt. Airy passed away Monday, December 21, 2015 at Northern Hospital of Surry County. She was born in Mitchell County on September 11, 1937 to the late Ralph and Brintey Stamey Goins. Mrs. Dodson was retired from Hutchens Laundry and was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Mt. Airy. She is survived by her husband, Oscar Alvin Dodson of the home; two daughters, Deborah Wolfe of the home, and Ramona Christine Dodson of Concord; two sisters, Eva Mae Setzer, and Maxine Kirchin both of Hickory. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Dodson was preceded in death by a brother. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at 1:00 PM at Fellowship Baptist Church with the Rev. Chris Benfield officiating. Burial will follow in Skyline Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Tuesday night from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the church. Moody Funeral Home in Mt.
