Miss Hannah Marie Anthony

Miss Hannah Marie Anthony, age 86 of Elkin passed away unexpectedly at her home. She was born in Surry County on September 9, 1921 to the late William Word Anthony and the late Nervy Cornelia Mounce Anthony. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one sister, Millie Mae Anthony and two brothers, Travis William Anthony and Miles Anthony. She was a retired seamstress from Haynes Hosiery and also retired from the Surry County School System as a Teacher's Aid. She was a member of Mulberry Primitive Baptist Church. Surviving are a nephew and his wife Kenneth and Kathy Anthony of Greensboro, NC; a sister-in-law Irene W. Anthony of Reidsville, NC. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, December 19, 2007 in the chapel of Moody-Davis Funeral Home in Dobson, with burial to follow in the Little Richmond Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Moody-Davis Funeral home on Wednesday from 1:00 PM until time of the service. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the donor's choice. Moody-Davis Funeral Home in Dobson is serving the Anthony Family.
