Miss Hollis Dessa Belcher

Miss Hollis Dessa Belcher, age 88, of Stuart, Virginia passed away Thursday, December 21, 2017 at Sovah Health in Martinsville. She was born in Patrick County on July 30, 1929 to the late Dennis Belcher and Lala Dalton Belcher. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death two sisters, Lena Haden and Edna Pendleton; and four brothers Archie, Amos “Bud”, Arthur “Pete”, and Luther Ray Belcher. Miss Belcher retired from United Elastic and was a member of Sycamore Baptist Church.

Surviving are her devoted nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday, December 26, 2017 at 2:00 pm in the Sycamore Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Gerald Melton officiating. Moody Funeral Home in Stuart is handling the arrangements and online condolences may be sent to www.moodyfuneralservices.com.
