Miss Rubye Jewell Bobbitt

Miss Rubye Jewell Bobbitt, 71 of Fancy Gap passed away Wednesday, October 9, 2013 at Select Care in Forsyth Medical Center. She was born in Carroll County, VA on December 9, 1941 to the late Clayton Johnnie and Margie Elsie Bryant Bobbitt. Miss Bobbitt was of the Baptist Faith and retired from Sara Lee. She is survived by three sisters, Glenda Bobbitt of Fancy Gap, Audrey Carico and husband, Dennis, Bernice Smith and husband, Homer all of Galax; a sister-in-law, Ruth Bobbitt of Woodlawn; a niece, Dee Toliver and husband, Dathan; a great niece, Bailee Toliver and two great nephews, Andrew and Matthew Toliver. In addition to her parents, Miss Bobbitt was preceded in death by two sisters, Eula Faye Bobbitt and Mable Bobbitt and a brother, Leonard Bobbitt. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, October 12, 2013 at the Susie Hawks Cemetery at Fancy Gap with Rev. Dewey Felts officiating.
