Miss Lucy Mae Clark

Miss. Lucy Mae Clark, age 75 of Stuart, passed away at her home on Thursday, September 1, 2011. She was born in Patrick County on August 2, 1936 to the late Brown and Maggie Shough Clark. In addition to her parents, Miss Clark was preceded in death by a sister, Agnes Haynes and a brother, Milton Clark. She was a member of Charity Primitive Baptist Church where she volunteered with the food program. One of her favorite pastimes was quilting with the Fairystone Volunteer Fire Department
Miss Clark is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Serena Clark of Glade Hill and a brother, Leonard Clark of Henry County.
Funeral services for Miss Clark will be held Saturday at 6:00 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Elder David Wright officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home. A private burial will be held in the New Hope Church of the Brethren Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Fairystone Volunteer Fire Department, 6687 Fairystone Park Hwy., Stuart, Virginia 24171.
