Miss Carrie Marie Elmore

Miss Carrie Marie Elmore, age 11, of Elkin, NC, left her earthly life to return to her heavenly Father on Wednesday evening October 3, 2012. She was born in Surry County on February 21, 2001 to Kristy Scott Elmore and Bailey Kinsey Elmore III. She was a student at Central Middle School, and a member of Copeland Baptist Church. Surviving are her parents, of the home; brother Billy Lee Elmore of the home; grandparents Bill and Joyce Scott of Siloam, Bailey Elmore Jr. of Dobson, Rita Joy Gentry of South Carolina, great-grandparents Rev. Bailey Elmore Sr. and Barbara Elmore of Mt. Airy; several aunts and uncles, and cousins. Carrie was preceded in death by a brother Bailey Kinsey Elmore IV; and other great-grandparents. Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Sunday October 7, 2012 at Copeland Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Bailey Elmore Sr. and Rev. Kenny King will conduct the services. The family will receive friends at Moody-Davis Funeral Home on Saturday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Moody-Davis Funeral Home in Dobson is serving the Elmore family.
