Miss Lula Alice Fulcher

Miss Lula Alice Fulcher, age 84 of Stuart, passed away Sunday, February 18, 2007 at the Blue Ridge Nursing Center in Stuart. She was born in Patrick County on May 21, 1922 to the late George Thomas and Kate Carter Fulcher. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Jean Haynes; and five brothers, Carter, Sam, Calvert, Melvin and Taylor Fulcher. She lived and worked most of her life in Washington, D. C. in the insurance business until she retired to Patrick Springs. She was of the Methodist faith.
Miss Fulcher is survived by one sister, Annie Nowlin of Patrick Springs; one brother, Rush Fulcher of Martinsville; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Miss Fulcher will be held Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Pastor David Westmoreland officiating. Burial will follow in the Carter Family Cemetery in Patrick Springs. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service Thursday at the funeral home.
