Miss Nancy Eloise Gammons

Miss Nancy Eloise Gammons age85 of 372 Mt. Herman Church Road, Mt. Airy, NC passed away Thursday, November 21, 2013 at Central Continuing Care. She was born December 31, 1927 in Surry County, NC to the late Willie and Atheline Hiatt Gammons. She was a farmer and Homemaker. Miss Gammons was a lifelong member of Mt. Herman United Methodist Church. Surviving is a special niece and husband, Clara Horton and Mark, Galax, VA, a special nephew and wife, Willie Gammons and wife, Amanda, Mt. Airy, two sisters-in-laws, Beulah Mae Gammons, Winston-Salem and Virginia Gammons of Mt. Airy, and a special great niece, Katelyn Gammons, Mt. Airy, and a special great nephew, David Gammons, Mt. Airy, several other nieces and nephews, several great nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Miss Gammons was preceded in death by four sisters, Ulden Gammons, Thelma Gough, Woodie Jessup, and Vera Smith and five brothers, Madison Gammons, Ivan Gammons, Wilford Gammons, Gilmer Gammons and Thaxter Gammons. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, November 23, 2013 at Moody Funeral Home Chapel. The service will be conducted by Rev. Rickey Spencer, Rev. Lynn Jordan and Rev. Jackie Danley. Burial will follow in the Mt. Herman United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends 10:00 AM Saturday until time of the service at Moody Funeral Home. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the Mt. Herman United Methodist Church, c/o Sheila Martin, 180 Clear View Trail, Mt. Airy, NC 27030.
