Miss Lillie Viona Hunter

Miss Lillie Viona Hunter age 92 of Mt. Airy, NC passed away Monday, September 24, 2012 at Central Continuing Care. She was born November 25, 1919 in Patrick County to the late John and Susan Ella Smith Hunter. She retired from Renfro Corporation and attended Friendly Chapel Church. Surviving are two sisters-in-law, Ina Sue Hunter and Hazel Hunter both of Mt. Airy; sixteen nieces; and nine nephews. In addition to her parents, Miss Hunter was preceded in death by two sisters, Hazel Willard and Essie Lowry and five brothers, Romey Hunter, Curtis Hunter, Walter Hunter, Monroe Hunter and Wise Hunter. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 27, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Bro. Don Collins. Burial will follow in Skyline Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 26, 2012 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy. The family would like to express their appreciation to Central Continuing Care and Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care for the wonderful care given to Miss Hunter during her illness.
