Miss Connie Vivian McMillian

Miss Connie Vivian McMillian, 90, of Cana, passed away Saturday, July 8, 2017, at the Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. She was born November 22, 1926 to the late James Walker and Mary Magaline McMillian. Miss McMillian dedicated to caring for her parents and any other family members as needed. She was a wonderful cook, making delicious desserts, and beautiful quilts. She had the ability to tell everyone when to plant anything for best growth and production. Miss McMillian is survived by a special nephew, Curtis McMillian; sisters, Mary Ruth Lawson and Katherine Arrington; and several other nieces and nephews; special great niece, Amanda McMillian and special great nephews, Paul, Justin and Steven McMillian; and several other great nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Miss McMillian was preceded in death by a sister, Elsie Smith and brothers, Leonard, Hamp, Sam, and Dudley McMillian. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, July 10, 2017 at Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Cana, VA with the Rev. Emmett Crotts officiating.
