Miss Vera Ethel Thomas

Miss Vera Ethel Thomas, age 85 of Dry Fork, and formerly of Vesta, passed away Thursday, October 13, 2011 at the Danville Regional Medical Center. She was born in Virginia on November 21, 1925 to the late Posey Allen and Rosa Smart Thomas. In addition to her parents, Miss Thomas was preceded in death by three sisters, Pernie T. Bowman, Vernice T. Rakes and Verda T. Hall; and a brother, Melvin Thomas. Her favorite hobby was crocheting. She is survived by nieces and nephews.
A graveside service for Miss Thomas will be held Sunday at 2:00 p.m. in the Laurel Fork Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. Moody Funeral Home in Stuart is in charge of the arrangements. Online condolences may be made by visiting www.moodyfuneralservices.com.
